I hope that 2012 has been treating everyone well so far!
It was only just a few days ago that we had received exciting news that our YUI-Lover Christmas Collaboartion 2011 CD has been properly received by YUIs STAFF (yay! Thank you YUI’s STAFF and everyone involved on the project)!

It’s really awesome knowing that we’re able to collaborate with people all over the world to make a meaningful gift to show our appreciation for YUI, her bandmates, and staff! This type of CD project has created bonds and friendships amongst YUI fans in and outside of Japan!

I’m here to let everyone in the YUI-Lover community know (including new YUI-Lover members) that it’s time again for the
YUI-Lover 5th Collaboration CD 2012 !

What is a YUI-Lover Collaboration CD?
Every year the YUI-Lover members work together to make a CD gift that is sent to YUI to celebrate her birthday! Last year, we also sent copies to e.u.Band members & YUI Staff members.

YUI-Lovers over the years have completed a total of 6 YUI-Lover CDs (Collaboration 1-4, Christmas & Shake My Heart~World Version)! Some of these songs have been featured on YUI Radio and in YUI/Staff Diary/School of Lock entries. ^__^

So I would like to invite everyone to participate and join in our fansite’s 5th CD Collaboration!

How do I participate?
Generally, YUI-Lovers team up with each other to make a cover of a song. Members share their instrumental tracks and mix with vocal recordings.

Here are some ideas:
- Record a song cover of YUI’s music
- Make a remix version! Example: Language adaptations (English lyrics or Spanish etc.), Acoustic versions, Rap/Funk/Samba/Classical, Vocaloid, etc whatever floats your boat ^__^
- Your own original song! Please write your lyrics and post ASAP so it can be translated into Japanese *if necessary*

For the 5th Collaboration, I was hoping we could cover songs that YUI likes or has covered before on various radio shows or television broadcasts.

STEPHAPEE and I actually worked on our song already. In the early days, YUI covered Michelle Branch’s Goodbye to You song, so we decided to do a cover of it. You can listen here!

#3: Enoden

The Enoden is an old train system that runs through Kamakura (from Kamakura to Fujisawa), and is the reason for those cute little train tracks you keep seeing throughout the movie. It is also featured at the start of I Remember You PV, although it used to be green instead of blue.

Very vintage feel to the train

The tracks cut through the town, curving around and passing by houses very closely.

I got really excited even before we arrived at our stop because I saw that. Do you see what I see yet?

#5: First Kiss

We head back toward the tracks where we came from.

By the way, all this is within a 50m radius of Shichirigahama Station (七里ヶ浜駅).

If you didn’t notice, this very section of the tracks was also featured in I Remember You.

#6: Bus Stop

Even though it was my first time there, it felt like I already knew the neighbourhood!

We walk just 20m down that road…

#7: Beach

Following the sound of crashing waves and the sea breeze…

And see some people walking on water…

Time for another round of guess the scene!

The sound of the waves and the seagulls/birds/hawks (I don’t know what birds they are but there are a lot in this town, all this while that’s the background sound by the way) was really soothing so we sat down for a break…

Jun couldn’t resist and the lucky YUI-Lovers on Google+ were treated to some Goodbye Days instrumental live from Kamakura.

Lots of people at the beach even though it was freezing..

And you can even see Mt. Fuji from here…

But it was no time to hang around because our mission was not complete!!

#8: Amane Kaoru’s House 

We set off for the last location in this area: Amane Kaoru’s House.

Jun couldn’t find it the last time he came, we knew which house it was but couldn’t find a way to get to it!! It was frustrating.

We see this. I think we’re close… we took one more turn and..

We finally find it!!

Too bad it was under construction though… Seemed like no one lives there now and we were talking about how we should buy it!! We didn’t dare to trespass into the property.. but totally wanted to go in for a look.. especially out that second floor window…

We were done for Shichirigahama. Stay tuned for Part 3 where we head another filming location of I Remember You, Driving Happy Life, and get a bird’s eye view of the entire city of Kamakura!

Unfortunately, YUI-Lover TV broadcast was not possible due to technical difficulties, but Cyclo and Jun made a complete report of their trip.

#0: Getting there

We are two YUI fans living in Tokyo, and today we’ve decided to take some YUI-Lovers on a tour around Kamakura, the filming location of Taiyou no Uta. On the left is Jun, and on the right is me (better known as cyclo)

We meet at Hachiko Statue in Shibuya (Hachiko deserves like an entire post itself but for now I’m just gonna leave a wiki link. If you don’t know where Shibuya is, you should really find that out!) at 9am, and begin the long journey to Kamakura.

We transfer at Yokohama, the city which Kaoru’s boyfriend took her to, but didn’t spend any time there. Saving it for another day ;)

I swear the only reason I took those photos was to highlight how Japanese girls compete to show more skin even though it’s @*%&(@ cold.

A little over an hour later, we finally arrive at Kamakura. (Jun lives more than an hour away from Shibuya, so this makes his total journey like 2.5 hours xD)

And we start the livestream! (Once again, apologies for not being able to do it over USTREAM. It wasn’t fast enough over 3G)

#2: Shotengai and Hachimangu Shrine

While this section doesn’t have much to do with YUI, but might be interesting to read anyway!

We pass by a Shotengai (which just means Shopping Alley, and is very common all across Japan).

And stop for some dango!

I knew that Kamakura was famous for its shrines, but didn’t expect to see gates like these littered all across town…

We took a turn onto the main street and saw it decorated with lanterns…

They lead us to…

A scramble crossing! (Scramble crossings are common here in Japan, it’s when all the pedestrian lights will turn green at the same time and all the cars will stop, so you see people walking in all directions, the best example would be Shibuya’s Hachiko scramble crossing… sound familiar? )

But seriously xD It lead us to Hachimangu Shrine, Kamakura’s most important Shinto shrine.

The grounds are huge and very scenic. Jun says it was filled with flowers and animals like fish and tortoises in the Summer when he came last year.

We enter for a closer look

Inside, people toss coins (usually 5 yen, because the way it is pronounced sounds like the same word for good destiny). I join in and show the viewers on Google Hangout how to go about making a wish at a Shinto Shrine. Kikino tells me to wish to bump into YUI along the way, which didn’t work. Maybe I should have tossed more than 5 yen or bow lower!

We head back down by a more quiet path

Pass the stalls again (Jun still holding on to his phone for the stream with bare hands even though its freeeezing. Please thank him properly!)

And its on to the next exciting location (Kamakura: Taiyou no Uta Tour (Part 2)!!

Mr.Sas:”Hello YUI Lovers i will show you some of my collection which i collect from the beginning of 2006 till this time , consisted 6 album and 20 single but I’m still searching the rarest one called It’s happy line because it’s only released about 2000 CD’s in the world, unless the price is high , we only can found it in some certain place.this is her first single feel my soul ,maybe this is hard to find it this time and the price aren’t cheap

i get this CD by Buying Via Online ,because the $ONY Music Indonesian Have not produced the japan music CD. And this is her very first album caleld “From me to You ” and I’m sure still hard to get it now because it’s been long time since this album was released, once upon a time when i bring this CD into a gathering the Case was BROKE!(oh my god !!!) and i must buy it again but this time is only the case

but let me remind you one thing that i’m not a Fanatic YUI Lovers , but i really appreciate everything which she had done by buying the Original CD (*wish i had had much much money maybe i will do the same thing XD XD XD ). and this is her last album “How Crazy Your Love” and the price is not cheap (for the second time you said it :) ) , i also have her tour DVD Concert called hollidays in the sun

This Christmas season, YUI-Lover members wanted to share some Christmas spirit and get together to work on another collaboration CD! This is one of our first Christmas editions we have completed so we’ve included some Christmas songs, different renditions of YUI’s songs, song covers, and even an original song! We had Kikino from Collaboration 4, Nana, and myself (gotchi) work together to produce the great work completed by our fellow fansite members!

Many thanks to the supporters, participants, and fellow YUI-Lovers for the help and enthusiasm!
